Homemade Mini Pizza

Homemade mini pizza is a fabulous dish that can be used for unplanned guests or at any special occasion whether it is your anniversary or your kid’s birthday. This bread pizza even makes a perfect snack for your kids.

Instead of pizza dough I have used the sandwich bread in my recipe but you can use whatever you like.

Ingredients

  • 15 ‏Sandwich Bread
  • 1/2 cup ‏Pizza sauce
  • 1 cup ‏Chicken (boiled&shredded)
  • 1/4 cup ‏Mushroom (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup ‏Green Capsicum (cut in small cubes)
  • 1/2 cup ‏Olives (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup ‏Mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 cup ‏Cheddar cheese (grated)

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven at 180 degrees.
  2. With the help of 7 cm round cutter, cut the sandwich bread slices in round shape.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce all over the round slice. Now place boiled shredded chicken, sliced mushrooms, capsicum cubes and sliced olives.
  4. Sprinkle both the grated cheese evenly. Repeat the process with the rest of the slices.
  5. Lightly grease the baking tray and place all the pizza slices on it. Bake it for 10 to 15 minutes until cheese is melted and the crust turned golden brown. Remove from oven.
  6. Serve hot with Ketchup and ENJOY!

Homemade Pizza Recipe

There are a variety of pizza made now a days, but hope you will find it very tasty and delicious with a very simple dough recipe, especially for beginners. It’s all about the dough that need a little bit of effort, once you are master making its dough, you can have a restaurant like pizza at home. Try this Homemade Pizza Recipe for a perfect pizza.

Pizza Dough:

  • 2 cup ‏All purpose flour
  • 1 ‏Egg
  • 1 tsp ‏Sea Salt
  • 1 pinch ‏Castor sugar
  • 2 TBS ‏Olive oil
  • 1 TBS heaped ‏Yeast
  • 2/3 cup ‏Lukewarm water

Sift flour 2 to 3 times this will help in rising. In a large mixing bowl, mix salt, yeast and sugar in flour. Add egg and olive oil to the flour mixture and stir well until all mixed well. Knead the mixture, with lukewarm water, into a soft dough, add a little more water to make the dough soft if its too hard. The dough should not be too hard and not too sticky, it should not stick to the walls of the container.

Knead the dough, against the hard floured surface, with the palm of hand for 10 minutes or till soft and elastic. Grease the container with oil, sprinkle bit flour over it and put the dough in it, covered the container and keep in warm place leaving it to rise for approx 2 hours or until doubled in size, press it down to release the air inside. Keep the dough for 5 to 6 hours,repeat this pressing approximately after every two hours.

Ingredients

  • 250 gms ‏Chicken chunks
  • 2 cloves ‏Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Sea salt
  • 1 tsp ‏Black Pepper
  • 1 small ‏Onion cut in chunks
  • ‏Garlic powder add to taste
  • ‏Diced Mushrooms (optional) add to taste
  • 1/2 cup ‏Diced Capsicum
  • ‏Black olives slices add to taste
  • 1/2 cup ‏Diced seedless tomatoes
  • ‏Crushed peppers add to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Thyme
  • 1 cup each or as desired ‏Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup ‏Tomato ketchup or chili garlic sauce

Directions

  1. Boil chicken chunks with garlic, salt and pepper till it is tender and ready.
  2. Divide the dough into two equal halves. Take one half , roll in a ball shape. Over a clean floured surface, flatten the ball shape, to a round crust, with hand until 1 1/2 inch thick
  3. Spread half of the tomato ketchup or chili garlic sauce over the flattened dough. Then add chicken chunks, and half of all the toppings over it, lightly press the toppings with the back of the spoon. (Note: change the quantity of toppings according to your liking)
  4. Drizzle the spices, crushed peppers, oregano, dried thyme over the topping layer.
  5. Spread half of both the mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the top or as much as you like.
  6. Bake in a pre-heat oven (200 degrees C) for about 20 minutes or till the dough is cooked and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dips and garlic powder.

Margheritta Pizza

Everyone has their own choice when it comes to pizza toppings. Some like them with beef, some with vegetables and some with chicken. Margheritta Pizza is made with the simplest of ingredients, yet the combination is so delicious, it will make your mouth water just by going through the recipe! Why not give it a try?

Ingredients

  • ‏Pizza Dough One pound
  • ‏Salt to taste
  • ‏Pepper to taste
  • quarter cup ‏Fresh Basil gently sliced
  • 8 ounces ‏Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 ‏Garlic clove
  • 2 ‏Tomatoes large

Directions

  1. Set the oven to preheat at 287 deg C.
  2. Make a tomato paste by adding the tomatoes, half of the sliced basil and garlic to a blender and blend until a smooth thick paste is formed.
  3. Divide the dough into two halves and roll out to form two ten inches rounds.
  4. Spread the paste on top of one round and next place mozzarella cheese on it. Put it up for baking for about five to ten minutes. When the dough seems deep brown, take out the pizza, garnish with the remaining basil and let it cool down a bit before you slice it and serve.

Sausages Pizza Casserole

Ingredients

  • 500 gm ‏Elbow Macaroni (boiled)
  • 500 gm ‏Sausages (chopped)
  • 2-3 cloves ‏Garlic (chopped)
  • 1 ‏Onion (chopped)
  • 2 ‏Green Capsicum (chopped)
  • 1 cup ‏Pizza Sauce
  • 1 cup ‏Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
  • 1 tsp ‏Black Pepper (crushed)
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Red Chili (crushed) (optional)
  • 3/4 tsp ‏Salt
  • 3 tbsp ‏Oil

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and chopped garlic.Fry till its colour slighty changes.Add sausages, crushed black pepper, crushed red chili and salt.Cook for 1-2 min.
  2. Now add capsicum and pizza sauce.Cook on high flame for 2 minutes and turn off the heat.
  3. Take a Pyrex dish and grease it with oil.
  4. Add macaroni and then sausages in pizza sauce all over the macaroni. Garnish the top of the dish with cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake in a per-heated oven at 180 C for 15 minutes. Enjoy hot with chili sauce.

Chicken French Bread Pizza

A quick and simple recipe of chicken french bread pizza especially for pizza lovers with no rolling and no kneading. You can have french bread pizza with any of your favorite toppings. Also best for those who are on diet.

Ingredients

  • 1 ‏french bread loaf
  • 1/2 cup ‏Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cup ‏chicken, cooked and cut it into bite sized pieces
  • 1 ‏yellow pepper, diced (optional)
  • 1 ‏onion, thinly sliced

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

A simple yet delicious pizza recipe with minced meat or you can also take chicken if you like. Simply the best meaty pizza recipe you could come across.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tsp ‏Yeast
  • ¾ tsp ‏Salt
  • ½ tsp ‏Castor sugar (shakkar)
  • ¼ cup ‏Capsicum cut in cubes
  • ¼ cup ‏Onions cut in cubes
  • 5 tbsp ‏Already prepared minced meat or chicken
  • ‏Tomato paste as required
  • 1 ½ cup ‏Flour
  • ¼ tsp ‏Baking Powder
  • ‏Canned mushrooms as required
  • 4 tbsp ‏Olives cut in slices

Directions

  1. Roll the dough and place it on a baking tray. Next spread a layer of tomato paste on its top. Spread minced meat or chicken chunks, capsicum, mushrooms, olives and onions on the rolled dough.
  2. Put it in a preheated oven for baking at 450 deg F for thirty minutes. Take it out and check on the lower side. It if has turned golden brown, it means its done.

Stromboli

Stromboli is a perfect healthy snack for your kids. Just mix your favorite pizza toppings and then rolled it up in pizza dough.

This delicious Stromboli is stuffed with chicken, cheese and olives. I have used my favorite ingredients in the filling. You feel free to add any vegetable of your liking.

Ingredients

FOR DOUGH:

  • 1 1/2 tsp ‏Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ‏Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ‏Instant Yeast
  • 4 tbsp ‏Oil
  • 1/4 tsp ‏Baking Powder
  • ‏Warm Water as required for kneading the dough
  • 2 1/2 cup ‏Flour

FOR CHICKEN:

  • 1 1/2 tsp ‏Red Chili (crushed)
  • 1 tsp ‏Ginger Garlic paste
  • 400gm ‏Chicken boneless
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Salt

FOR FILLING:

  • 1 ‏Onion (sliced)
  • 3 tbsp ‏Olives (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup ‏Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 ‏Egg (beaten)
  • 1 cup ‏Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup ‏Pizza Sauce
  • 2 ‏Green Capsicum (cut in thin strips)

Directions

  1. In a large bowl add flour, salt, sugar, instant yeast, baking powder and oil. Mix well by slowly adding warm water.
  2. Knead the dough 5-6 time so that the dough is smooth and consistent. Place the dough in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours.
  3. Meanwhile in a pan add 1/2 glass of water, chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt and crushed red chilies. Place it over high heat.
  4. When water starts boiling reduce the heat to medium and cook until water dries out and the chicken is cooked through. Shred the chicken when it cools down.
  5. Preheat oven at 180 C or 350 F and grease a round deep 8″ loose bottom pan.
  6. When the dough doubles in volume punch it down.
  7. Now on a floured surface roll the dough in long rectangle with a thickness of quarter inch.
  8. Spread the pizza sauce with long knife on rectangle shape dough.
  9. Add shredded chicken over pizza sauce followed by green capsicum strips, onion, mushrooms and olives. Cover the top with mozzarella cheese.
  10. Roll the dough into the shape of swiss roll and before placing it on greased pan join the ends of roll in such a way that it takes the shape of a circle.
  11. With sharp knife make slits all over the roll . Brush the top of the round roll with beaten egg.
  12. Place the pan in preheated oven and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until the top is browned. Remove from oven and allow it to cool down. Serve hot with the afternoon tea and ENJOY!

Calzone

Calzone is an Italian cuisine. Its a folded pizza filled with cheese, veges and chicken/beaf, the choice and quantity of ingredients totally depend upon your liking and taste. Pack it in you kids lunch, as it is easy to carry than a pizza, or make it for your evening snack or have it with soup or some pasta to make a complete dinner.

 

Calzone Dough:

  • 1 tsp ‏Black pepper

  • 1/2 cup ‏Diced seedless Tomatoes

  • 1/2 cup each or as desired ‏Mozzarella and Parmesan
  • ‏Ketchup or Chili Garlic sauce as desired

Directions

  1. Preheat oven at 450 degree F/ 230 degrees C/ Gas 8
  2. In a mixing bowl, add and mix all the ingredients together except tomato ketchup.
  3. Take out half of the dough, make it in a ball shape,on a floured surface, flatten the dough ball, to round circle crust, with hand or roller., to your desired size.
  4. Place tomato ketchup and spread evenly on half of the crust. Take half of the mixed ingredients, spread them on tomato ketchup, leaving approximately 1.5 inch of the dough around the edge. (Note:Do not over fill you calzone)
  5. Wet the clean edge with little water and fold the other side half way over, covering the filling, leaving again 0.5 inch of the edge. Now fold this half inch edge left over the closed edge and press down at some points with your thumb or fork to seal it and give it a more professional look.
  6. Repeat the same with the other half dough left.
  7. Place on a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or till the dough is cooked. You may cover calzone with cheese before baking it to give it a cheesy look.
  8. Cut them into two halves. Serve hot.

Alfredo Pasta Sauce

Alfredo pasta sauce comes from Rome, and it’s a blended combination of butter, parmesan cheese and heavy cream. It is available in stores, but you can make it fresh at home with your daily use ingredients, as it tastes more yummy if made fresh.

Ingredients

  • 4 TBS ‏Butter
  • 1 clove ‏Garlic crushed
  • 1 cup ‏Milk
  • 1 cup ‏Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup ‏Cream cheese
  • 4 TBS ‏Parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Ground black pepper
  • ‏Salt 1/2 tsp or more if needed

Directions

  1. In a non stick pan, melt butter over low heat and add garlic to it, while constantly stirring for about 2 minutes, till garlic color changes to light brown. Do not let your garlic burn.
  2. Add cream cheese, while stirring constantly with a whisk. at start the mixture will get curdled, but soon it will be smooth like paste after constant stirring for 2 to 3 minutes
  3. Add milk, slowly and gradually in small quantity at a time, while constantly stirring, until each addition is incorporated fully into the sauce.
  4. Stir in the parmesan cheese and continue stirring until cheese is melted. Add black pepper salt and fresh parsley. Cook for few more minutes if you want your sauce bit thicker, or remove right after the cheese melt, if you get the desired thickness.
  5. If it’s over cooked,thin with milk till you get the desired consistency.
  6. Toss with hot pasta or noodles to serve.

    Beside pasta, use the sauce to cover a pizza crust or to make a white pizza.

    It may be served with shrimps or meat balls.

    Or over the vegetables and potatoes.
