Tahini paste: A simple and easy to make Middle Eastern sauce with the sesame seeds as the main ingredient. This is much cheaper than the one you bought from the store
- 1 cup Sesame Seeds
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Toast sesame seeds over low heat with continuous stirring (about 5-10 min). Remove from heat and allow them to cool.
Take a blender, add sesame seeds, garlic, salt and 1/4 cup of olive oil. Blend it until a thick paste is formed. If needed add more olive oil slowly until it comes to a consistency you like.
Store the tahini paste in an air tight jar in refrigerator.
