Strawberry Pie

Follow this simple recipe to make the yummiest strawberry pie from scratch. You will learn how to make a pie crust and its filling with raw ingredients.


  • 1 1/2 cup ‏flour
  • 1 teaspoon ‏sugar granulated
  • 1/4 teaspoon ‏salt
  • 120 gm ‏Unsalted Butter Frozen (shred it so that it mixes well)
  • 5 tablespoons ‏chilled water
  • 15 ‏Strawberries, washed and halved
  • 1 glass ‏water for sugar solution
  • 8 tablespoons ‏sugar


  1. Take a clean bowl and add in all the dry ingredients( flour, sugar, salt and butter). Toss well with hands so that they get properly aerated.

  2. Now add in the frozen butter and mix with hands till small crumbles are formed.

  3. Add in chilled water bit by bit and knead it to a smooth dough. Cover it with a plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator till you prepare the filling.

  4. Take in one glass water in a sauce pan and add 8 tbsp of sugar. Keep stirring on medium heat till all the sugar gets dissolved. Next add halved strawberries and cook for five minutes on low heat.

  5. Take out the dough and spread a little dry four on the rolling board. Roll out a 8 x 10 square and put it in a baking dish that is already glazed and lined up with parchment paper. You can also use a pie shape baking dish for convenience.

  6. You can bend the edges or cut them out as you like to shape them. Pour in the strawberry filling and put it up for baking at 190 deg C for about 40 minutes. You will see the edges turning deep golden indicating that the pie is done. Take it out and serve hot.
