Spicy Tea for Colds / Masala Dar Tea

Spicy tea for colds is a very tasty and healthy tea, especially in winters to keep you warm. A perfect hot drink to have in flu n throat ache.


  • 2 cups ‏Full cream milk
  • 1/2 cup ‏Water
  • 2 ‏Cloves
  • 2 ‏Black pepper
  • 1 inch ‏Cinnamon stick
  • 1 ‏Green cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ‏Mulathe powder (liquorice powder)
  • 2 TBS ‏Tea
  • ‏Sugar add to taste
  • 2 pinches ‏Salt


  1. In a pan, add water with cloves, black pepper, cinnamon stick and green cardamom and cook at low flame till half quantity water left.
  2. Then add milk, sugar, salt mulathe powder and tea powder to the pan n bring it to simmer for five minutes.
  3. Pour into three cups equally and serve hot.
