- 1 cup red lentils
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 1 potato
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons cream
- 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons oil
Soak red lentils in lukewarm water for 30 minutes. Cut onion, potato and carrot in small pieces.
Heat a pot on medium heat. Add oil, onion, potato, carrot and cook for 2 minutes. Add red lentils and 3 glass water and bring it to boil. Cook until the lentils and vegetables are soft.
Now make a puree with hand blender or food processor. Add salt, pepper and cream and mix well. Add lemon juice just before turning off the heat.
Garnish with red chilli flakes and serve hot.
