Pumpkin Yogurt (Kadu ka Raita)

A very light and refreshing yogurt in summers is pumpkin yogurt (kadu raita). Enjoy this tasty yogurt with your meal.

Ingredients

  • 500 gm ‏yogurt
  • 250 gm ‏pumpkin
  • 2-3 tablespoons ‏milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ‏black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ‏cumin seeds
  • As desired ‏salt

Directions:

  1. Wash and peel pumpkin (kadu), then shred it.

  2. Boil the shredded pumpkin in water till it is tender and cooked, drain out any water. Squeeze the boiled pumpkin well and keep it aside.

  3. Add yogurt in a bowl and gently whisk in milk, cumin seeds, salt and peppers.

  4. Then add boiled pumpkin and mix well and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

  5. Your delicious pumpkin yogurt is ready. Serve cool
