Pina colada is a sweet and tasty combination of coconut cream with pineapple usually served either blended or shaken with ice.
Use fresh pineapple for more refreshing taste.
- 4 cups pineapple juice
- 2 round rings pineapple slices
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 50 ml coconut cream/fresh cream
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- As desired crushed ice
- 2 cherries
- 2 pineapple wedges
Add sugar and crushed ice to the blender and blend. Crushed ice is easiest form of ice to blend.
Add pineapple juice with its slices and coconut milk and blend at high speed. (Note: If coconut milk is not available, mix 2 1/2 tablespoons coconut milk powder and 2 cups of cold water to make 2 cups coconut milk)
Now add coconut cream to the blender. This will add more coconut flavor and creamy touch to the tasty drink without overwhelming it and blend till all the ingrdients are incorporated.
Pour the colada into tall serving glasses and garnish the rim of glass with the wedge of pineapple and a cherry. Note: Fresh cream can be a substitute to coconut cream.
