Milky Ice cream/ Kulfi

Enjoy a very yummy and delicious recipe of kulfi, a very famous handmade ice cream of the subcontinent. Hope you enjoy making this super speedy and easy to make recipe for your kids.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg ‏milk
  • 2 tablespoons ‏corn flour
  • 6-8 pieces ‏burfi, Burfi is a traditional sweet of the subcontinent ( if you dont have burfi, try using the recipe with the condensed milk)
  • ‏Toothpicks or sticks what ever you have
  • ‏ice cream molds

Directions:

  1. Set the milk to boil on medium flame. Dissolve the cornflour in two tbsp of cold milk and gradually add this mix to the boiling milk. Use a hand whisk to avoid formation of lumps.

  2. When it starts to thicken like custard, take it off flame and allow it to cool down.

  3. Now blend this milky mixture in blender with the burfi pieces until a smooth texture is attained. Pour this mix in molds and insert the toothpicks or if you have ice cream mold that come with sticks, all the better. Super cool before serving. Enjoy!
