Instant Besan-Suji (Gram flour-semolina) Halwa

One of the very tasty halwa jaat made in winters is besan-suji halwa. Do try this delicious halwa and you will surely love its extraordinary and unique taste.


  • 1 cup ‏Besan (gram flour)
  • 1/2 cup ‏Suji (Semolina)
  • 1/2 cup ‏Sugar
  • 1 cup ‏Ghee
  • 1 cup ‏Water
  • ‏Dry fruit add to taste


  1. Heat ghee in a pan and fry besan (gram flour) stirring constantly till golden brown and fragrant, on a low flame.
  2. Then add suji (semolina) and fry for about ten minutes keeping the flame low and stirring constantly.
  3. Then add dry fruit and mix, add sugar and water and cook on low flame till water dries out.
  4. Dish it out, garnish with dry fruit and serve hot.

    NOTE: Keep on stirring halwa while cooking or otherwise lumps will form.
