An ideal start to the grilling season with this super easy recipe.
The shrimps are infused with the delicious flavor of lemons and bay leaves. Serve these grilled shrimps with rice for a perfect dinner.
- 30-35 bay leaves
- 3 lb shrimp, peeled with tails intact
- 5 lemons, cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red chili
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 min ( to avoid burning).
Mix salt, black pepper, crushed chilli, butter, lemon juice, garlic in a bowl and add shrimps ( make sure that shrimps are fully coated with this mixture). Cover and leave it for 10-20 min.
Preheat the grill to medium. Thread 3 bay leaves, 3 shrimps and 3 lemon wedges on each skewer.
Place the skewers on grill rack or baking tray and grill until opaque and pink in color, 4 min per side.
Transfer grilled shrimps to platter and serve with rice.
