Chocolate Pops

30 min

A wonderful gift for your kids on this valentine’s day. It is a best dessert to serve with no cutting and with no left overs. You can decorate them in a variety of ways such as chocolate sprinkles, chopped nuts, coconut or chocolate chips.

  • 1 ‏chocolate cake, prepared
  • 2 tablespoons ‏chocolate frosting
  • 175 g ‏chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon ‏chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon ‏chocolate sprinkles
  • 14 ‏pop sticks

  1. Cut the cake into 8 pieces. Crumble the cake pieces with hand until the pieces are fine.

  2. Add the frosting over the cake and mix well until the mixture is well combined (Note: Frosting amount depends on the moistness of cake)

  3. Use a small scoop to get mixture and with the help of hand round it into the ball shape (we have used the scoop so that all of the pops have uniform size). Repeat the procedure until the mixture is finished.

  4. Cover the balls with plastic wraps and refrigerate for two hours (for best results refrigerate overnight).

  5. Melt chocolate pieces in microwave.

  6. Dip the stick into the melted chocolate and then insert the chocolate coated stick into the middle of the cake ball.

  7. Now dip the cake ball into the melted chocolate and turn it upside down so that the excess chocolate drips off.

  8. Decorate the balls with sprinkles or chopped nuts depending on your choice and serve..
