Chocolate Cold Cake

Enjoy this super simple and yummy recipe of a frozen chocolate cake that is easy to make and looks awesome for a dessert as well. You can garnish it with nuts, icing cream and melted chocolate.


  • 2 packs ‏marie biscuits
  • 1/3 cup ‏peanuts
  • 3 tablespoons ‏butter
  • 3 tablespoons ‏cocoa powder
  • 5 tablespoons ‏sugar
  • 300 ml ‏cream
  • A pinch of ‏salt


  1. In a saucepan melt better over low heat. Add salt, cream, sugar and cocoa powder and keep stirring over low heat till it eventually boils for a few minutes and thickens.

  2. Break biscuits in pieces (roughly 4 or 5 pieces of each biscuit) and add the biscuits and peanuts to the cocoa mixture, remove from heat.

  3. Pour in a lightly greased plastic bag and working from outside the bag, shape it like a log

  4. Freeze for a few hours, when firm cut into rounds with a sharp knife.
