The chicken steak which my son loves the most is tender chicken breasts with creamy mushroom sauce. It tastes fabulous with mashed potato. You try and find it by yourself.

For Mushroom Sauce

  • 2 ‏garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ‏chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon ‏butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ‏black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon ‏salt
  • 100 ml ‏cream
  • 1 ‏onion, chopped
  • 350 gms ‏button mushrooms, washed and sliced

For Chicken Steak

  • 1/2 teaspoon ‏black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ‏garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons ‏oil
  • 1 ‏lemon juice
  • 1 cup ‏flour
  • 1 cup ‏milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ‏salt
  • 4 ‏skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup ‏bread crumbs

Directions:

  1. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic paste and lemon juice.

  2. Mix flour and bread crumbs in a bowl. Dip the steaks in milk and then coat with with the flour mixture.

  3. Place frying pan over medium heat and add olive oil.

  4. Add breast pieces and cook on medium heat until golden brown on both sides. When finished cooking transfer the steaks to a serving dish.

  5. Heat butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add garlic and onion. Stir fry until fragrant.

  6. Now add mushrooms and stir fry until they are lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. Add chicken broth and cream. Bring to boil. When it starts boiling lower the heat and cook for 8-10 min until the sauce reduced by half.

  8. Remove from heat and pour the mushroom sauce over the cooked steak. ENJOY!
