Batter Fried Fish

Batter fried fish is a popular starter with an exceptional flavor. These marinated fish sticks are coated with flour and then deep fried gives an amazing taste.

This batter fried fish is also best for kids when served with fries at their snack time.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg ‏Fish Fillet
  • 1/2 cup ‏Flour
  • ‏Oil for frying

FOR MARINATION:

  • 2 tbsp ‏Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ‏Salt

FOR BATTER:

  • 2 tbsp ‏Coriander Leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp ‏Red Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Red Chilies (crushed)
  • 2 ‏Egg
  • 1/2 cup ‏Flour
  • 2 tbsp ‏Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp ‏Ginger Garlic paste
  • 3 ‏Green Chilies (chopped)

Directions

  1. Cut fish fillet into 3-4 inch pieces.
  2. Take a bowl and marinate the pieces with salt and lemon juice for 10 min.
  3. Now take another bowl, add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilies, red chili powder, crushed red chili, coriander leaves, eggs, flour and rice flour.Mix with egg beater to form a thick batter.
  4. Add marinated fish pieces in the batter and mix well. Leave the batter for 30 minutes.
  5. Take out flour in a plate.
  6. Heat oil in a large frying pan. Roll fish sticks in dry flour and then deep fry on medium heat until golden brown.
  7. Take out on a paper towel so that the excess oil is absorbed by towel.
  8. Transfer the fried fish to a serving plate and serve with mayo garlic dip or ketchup. ENJOY!
